This is a good book is something for everyone.

I am the founder of academic success coaching and when I work, students struggling with their dissertations and teachers are trying to post, I would recommend this book often. Many of my clients have found this book useful, some people swear by it. />
The book contains two parts: to understand why procrastination, and outlines ways to overcome it. This is a quick read but useful, the writing is clear and precise descriptions. You will definitely find yourself running a series of problems, excuses, insecurities, obstacles, and the possible options. Whether you’re a college student starting to return to control, or a younger professor dying grant proposal above, you’ll see why procrastinate, and what steps can be taken to initiate progress.

Fear is the basis for any delay, ie Burika and Yuen, such as fear of failure, success, and “losing battle” – some of us procrastinate shows that we dominated by the situation. “You can do this to me!” say quietly, because they refuse to comply with demanding adviser annoying spouse, or even (OK, some people are really stubborn), gas tank empty! />
Diving chapter written in the past – the attitudes of family, school models, etc. – to understand why you chose to use the delay as the main coping mechanism. I am a clinical psychologist, so I think that knowledge of the past to understand the current scheme – until the insights are followed by deeds. Fortunately Burika Yuen and to engage in the second half of their book.

The treatment offered are realistic. Did not procrastinate start overnight, and you do not stop, as it is not. Burika and Yuen explained by better working methods to systematically, one step at a time. />
Recommends 2 weeks of starting the program using many techniques. Among the recommendations:
    – Make goals that are observable.
    – Be specific.
    – Take steps small.
    – Awarded
    – Avoid />

I have read many, many times the administration and organization of books. This book was what really made the difference. Until you know why the delay, and can do things, the numbering of your priorities does not help. Read this book first, then time management books. The authors emphasize that not all the legs to pull in the same areas, and not to the same extent. The book would probably be useful to anyone, because everyone has things they want to get done, but does not appear. The authors have compiled a “unschedule” diagram of your time is already taken, because the way, how much time is actually left your goals. Just do was open his eyes. The book has many useful suggestions and questions that I have not seen other books. I hope that I knew when it was first published in 1983 – I got more time!

I bought this with the “Now Habit.” This book is completely different, much more verbose (but in a good way) and tends to a bit ‘diving, I think the psychology of procrastination. What is useful. />
If you absolutely had to choose, choose “Now Habit.” However, I would strongly suggest that you read this book too. It covers things that now look does not cover very well. />
Our company will take a very simple view of the delay, which can be quite complex reasons. This book helped me understand many of the roots of my behavior and painful, I heard many of my behaviors. Alone “is worth the ticket price. This book will help you deal with your procrastination.

I’m just linger in certain areas, and I found reading this book, this is normal. (Whew.) I was thinking it was very busy, but does not seem to make things happen. I read this book and other reviewers have said, I heard many a party directly involved in MY questions. Since then I started to implement some of the strategies and “tools” to address any delays. WOW! It ‘wonderful. The things I put off for months (such as requiring a plumber to strengthen leaky toilets) have done. And it was so simple. I wonder why I never put out. I’m going to read the book again in a month or so, I’m sure I will get some more points on the second time.

  5. P. Jain Says:

I have read many books by top authors of slowness. Most agree that to write the objective to focus on their task A1, etc., etc. But the point is that he has forgotten why you did it? If you do not realize it until it can fully resolve the problem, at least in the long run. We all procrastinate atleast some areas. list of authors because we do it right. It could be the environment, interaction with the teacher / professor / parents shows how great you are doing nightout before the exam and still pass, etc. etc. I know to deal with it properly – need to know why. I guess that is the best in the sense and feel everyone should read it. (I suggest everyone read the first chapter here on this site, including the procastination rotation)
Thanks for authors to write a good book:)
