Since the 20 + years of Caps fans, and insatiable reader serial entrepreneur business book, I immediately pre-ordered the book after it was first available. . . and was one of the best books I’ve read this year!
book has two main parts. Ted begins the first story, and six other principles and dissected. After I read Ted’s blog some of its history, but never the whole I found this really insightful and stimulating. />
I loved the trip and like any new entity (company or charity) would increase the knowledge and Ted distinctions to happiness. Starting with a list of 101 goods was instructive to see how the “business-like” Ted started this journey to happiness, or what he thought to make him happy. I really like how stressed to buy Ferrari (which was the degree) was as empty calories and have a meaning very latest. But other elements of the list had a huge impact on his fate.
List Life is June 1 to identify the principles of happiness Ted. 1) Life List. 2) a number of advantages. 3) find outlets for self-expression. 4) Gratitude. Five) to return. 6) High Calling. />
It ’s a good list of focus on and this was the first company I’ve seen mentioned in the book “Higher Calling” and “looking for possible outlets for self-expression,” to help your happiness. I love it and totally believe it!
Ted repeatedly warns readers that “over indexing, and a part of your life – success – prevents you from being happy. And ‘different and live a full /> life, that happiness in a by-product. And this is certainly a good plan for those who want to come and take a shortcut.

Although I have not done enough yet the book, Glory to the Washington Capitals owner and former AOL exec Ted Leonsis for a brilliant book based on this simple premise: Happiness leads to success, not vice versa. Ger does a nice job mixing personal experiences with the “life lessons” as a business owner and executive power and leads the NHL Franchise owner of the interesting recent history. Makes compelling and inspiring for its point of departure. />
It starts with saying the event life-changing – “almost” in a plane crash, which forced him to face the fact that he had died that day, would not have died a happy man . Using the tried and true techniques of business (building “Bucket List” of sorts, though not call it that) has created a metric of staff so far to define and measure the progress of his happy. He shows that happy people are successful people, not vice versa. />
This is a wonderful read, full of meaning. As one who took Ted “Happiness Survey” on his blog ([...]), I looked forward to his book, and will not be disappointed. Ted is an honest, open and stimulating. Discover why Ted has been a huge success in managing the change of owner of the club leading the NHL ice hockey. And we, the business, there are some not-so-secret of success, like humility, openness and respect for all. The reading for fans of hockey and business leaders, in particular, apply.

This is the book that many people can relate to: describes a way for the successful entrepreneur and self-realization after the sheer size of their bank account, and provides concrete examples that the update actually brought more business success . And it does so shamelessly promote any particular religious or moral philosophy. Not only offer a maximum of information to serve as a model for others, but is going to be weeks of debate on why the various components of that plan up. Unfortunately, no deviation rather large, (the central part of the book), in more detail than is necessary in the rise and fall of the American line (and pre-employment, with adverse short-term financial performance goals long term). Belongs to more than a conviction of public companies and Wall Street analysts generally like a book on why and how to be successful businessman. It ’s just a distraction from the otherwise excellent poster.
